isyVmon is based on a minimalistic and hardened version of the Ubuntu Linux operating system containing not only Centreon as a web front-end but also all the necessary libraries and modules for properly running complex Nagios installations. As isyVmon is a "Virtual Appliance" all operating system updates are included and future updates, of course, are provided as part of the update service. We don't see Appliances as a cage for operating systems with their doors closed but as a way for easily deploying extensions – Being “open for plugins”. Consequently you have the option to integrate your own or other Nagios community plugins. This gives you the ability to fully customize and entirely adapt the system to your environment.
