The existing monitoring solution based on Nagios currently in use at over 20 locations with heterogeneous infrastructures is supposed to be replaced by a more flexible system that has to include extended reporting features. One of the major targets is to reduce the operational efforts involved and unify the existing Nagios monitoring systems. A multi-tenant capable GUI, centralized administration and monitoring are some of the requirements. Also some of the locations need to be monitored in an autonomous way. And some of the systems to be monitored can only be observed from a special demilitarized zone.
